Pretty bummed out about my experience. I ordered the BAK Revolver X2 on 9/23, did the chat box haggle and got a pretty good deal. It showed up at my door on 10/3 but there wasn't any hardware in the box. There also weren't any instructions or the weather stripping - I only received the rails and the actual cover. I called Auto Anything to let them know and they might (definitely) have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. They are completely helpless. After calling 5 times I got pretty pissed and demanded to talk to ' a manager.'
It took me 30 minutes on the phone but they finally got a hold of BAK to send me my missing pieces since they don't actually stock any of it. I finally got the hardware in the mail today (10/11 - eighteen days after I ordered the thing!!!) Still no instructions or weather sealing! My question for the guys who have these is what thickness weather stripping they got and do you think I would be okay using something from Home Depot/Fleet Farm? I don't really want to wait another two weeks for these dolts to ship it out to me. Thanks for any help. Also does anyone have the instructions laying around or know of any links to install?

Also does anyone have the instructions laying around or know of any links to install? I may have gotten all your hardware. I ordered a cover right around the same time and got two full sets of brackets, bolts, weather stripping, etc. Was wondering why I had so many left over parts after install. The kits came with 2 types of weather stripping, and the instructions state to use the thicker stuff if you don't have a drop in bed liner, the thin stuff if you do. I'm away from home until tomorrow morning, so I can't measure exactly, but if I had to guess, the thicker weather strip was probably 3/8'. Standard stuff you'd get from any big box home improvement store.Good luck with your install. Pretty bummed out about my experience.

Thanks for any help. Also does anyone have the instructions laying around or know of any links to install? Click to expand.I deal with BAK weekly and have never had an X2 come in 2 boxes. The rails and cover come packaged in one box (wish I'd have seen this sooner as I installed one this morning and could've taken a pic) along with the hardware kit in a red plastic bag. I would touch base with BAK on this one to get a hardware kit and also to have them run the serial number just to make sure that the cover you have wasn't a warrantied cover. The folks at BAK are easy to deal with and I'm sure theyd get you taken care of.
I had one on my Tundra TRD Pro that I just sold and loved it. Fit perfect and kept everything in the bed dry during the time I had it. Very easy to roll up and snap into place with the adjustable straps and buckles should you need full use of the bed without completely blocking your rear window (unlike MX4).They are coming out with the Revolver X4 shortly, but from what I can tell it is just a matte vinly finish on the top instead of being somewhat shiny like the X2. I am planning on buying one here shortly for my raptor that I have on order, but haven't decided if the X4 is worth the extra money. I had one on my Tundra TRD Pro that I just sold and loved it. I’ve got the Ford branded Revolver X2.It was easy to put on and adjust. It is, I think, the best looking cover. Returned it for the Flip instead. It had terrible alignment problems and even gouged my tailgate cap when the shims were removed.
The locks are super finicky and without putting MORE shims in, you won’t get them to engage.Tried different combos and even had BAK take a look. We all decided the Flip is a lot better fit.Functionally, meh.
Sure, it’s nice to roll it ALL the way and not block the window. But it’s all or none; no midway. I was surprised how much I like having my bed only partially covered. And the Flip, you can stand on the folded cover.it’s that strong! Don’t try that with the X2.Yes, it DOES rattle from wind buffeting.Swapped for the newer MX4 and much happier.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.
